i know today is especially grief-y

creator's note: grief “anniversaries” come up annually – sometimes more frequently or less depending on how you choose to honour your loved one. in society, we often don’t know how to approach these days. do I text my friend and remind them I’m thinking of them? would pointing out the anniversary of their dead loved one make them sad? or would it make them sad if I didn’t say anything at all? reminding someone you are thinking of them on a hard and grief filled day won’t trigger sadness – it will remind them they are loved.
